Be uplifted by the Siena Retreat Center’s Annual Spring Concert with songwriter, recording artist, performer and educator Carrie Newcomer and pianist Gary Walter.

Carrie is internationally known as a facilitator of songwriting and creative writing retreats. She also leads retreats on spirituality, personal growth, art and activism in a wide array of venues. She co-hosts The Growing Edge Podcast and has led “The Growing Edge Retreats” with author Parker J. Palmer. Carrie is a Grammy acknowledged songwriter, Emmy awarded performer and poet. She has 20 nationally released albums and three books of poetry. She has been called “a prairie mystic” by The Boston Globe and “asks all the right questions,” according to Rolling Stone. She has appeared on On Being and PBS Religion and Ethics and recently received The Shalem Institute’s Contemplative Voices Award. Visit to learn more about Carrie’s many talents!
