Ceramic Plates Workshop, Nov 18 and Dec 9, 1-3pm
- 2519 Northwestern Ave.
- Racine, WI
Learn the art of sgraffito, which involves scratching designs into underglazed clay to show the contrast between color and the clay body, to create one-of-a-kind designs on a ceramic plate for a usable piece of art or a lovely wall decoration. Return to glaze your plates in the color of your choice, after they have been fired. This is a fun way to make a decorative and functional art work for your home! Teens age 14 and older may take adult classes; some require teacher’s consent. Clay, glazes and firings included in class fee.
