Summer Art Camp: ARTLympics! Ages 7-13

  • 2519 Northwestern Ave.
  • Racine, WI
Overview

With the summer 2024 Olympics well under way, let’s take part in ARTlympics! Art competitions were part of the Olympic games, harkening back to the return of the Olympics in the early 1900’s. Let’s look at some historic work, and also imagine ourselves as part of the origin story in Ancient Greece. We will introduce artmaking activities that come from around the world as part of our global art exploration. The fun doesn’t end here -campers will have creative group challenges throughout the week, and a chance to win the bronze, silver and gold in Olympic art. Parents and family members will be invited to the Closing Art Ceremony, and discover what the campers have created throughout the week at the annual Gallery Night on Friday, August 2 at 4:00 pm. Dress for mess, and bring a lunch and water bottle each day.
