Each year, from mid-April to mid-October, scores of families make their way to Racine County's campgrounds. Whether traveling from far away or from just down the road, they come to enjoy the campgrounds' wooded refuge and delight in Wisconsin's natural beauty. All campgrounds are dog friendly!
Nestled on a cliff along the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan is Cliffside Park & Campground, 7320 Michna Road, Caledonia. The 233-acre site has 92 campsites, bathrooms and showers, and a self-service dump station. Each site has electric (20, 30 and 50 amp), water, fire pit, and picnic table. The campground is open from the second weekend in April through the second weekend in October.
Near the Racine/Kenosha County border is Sanders Park & Campground, 4809 Wood Road, Mt. Pleasant. Situated on 80 acres, Sanders Park features a marked nature trail through a designated State Scientific area. There is a 5-acre campground, athletic facilities and picnic areas. The campground has 19 primitive campsites. No water/sewer hookups. Some sites have electricity. The campground is open from the second weekend in April through the second weekend in October.
Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, 8425 Hwy 38, Caledonia, is a popular, family-friendly campground. It offers full hook-up campsites with water, sewer and electrical for short-term and long-term stays, primitive sites for tent camping, and cabins. Guests have access to entertainment and amenities including a heated swimming pool, water park, mini-golf, bathrooms and showers, laundry facilities, gift shop, groceries/supplies, WiFi access, supervised kids programs, and family activities.
